The JENOPTIK-VOTAN® BIM laser cutting system is ideally suited for 3D laser cutting of metal and plastic. Our innovative robot technology processes complex components quickly, precisely and effectively. It sets new standards, particularly in the metal industry.

Compared to conventional processing methods, the non-contact laser process minimizes both the processing time due to missing set-up times and the costs caused by tool wear. Thanks to its high flexibility, the JENOPTIK-VOTAN® BIM laser cutting system is the ideal, practically wear-free tool for processing various metal applications. With a repeat accuracy of up to 50 µm in optimal conditions, this laser machine ranks among the most precise systems on the market and is comparable to conventional Cartesian systems. It cuts a circle or other standard contour in just one second, meaning its cycle time is significantly shorter than other robot systems.

The JENOPTIK-VOTAN® BIM is used in the automotive industry for cutting complex chassis components made of materials such as hot-formed and ultra-high strength steels as well as cast aluminum. Hydroformed tubes can also be trimmed for use in battery or electric motor carrier units for electric cars.

In combination with our excellent automation competence, the integration of laser cutting in a fully automated line process is possible. This significantly reduces the footprint and the logistical effort in the production of metal components.
